Albatross rigs are hand-tied in Maryland and tested in the Outer Banks. They have been refined over time. Haywire twists are tied by hand, without the use of a haywire tool. All hooks on Albatross surf rigs are snelled, with exception of crimped rigs. Components are of high quality and assembled with an attention to detail.

Quality and Reliability

I make and inspect all rigs myself. I have high standards on rig/connection quality and aesthetics. I have confidence in the rigs I make for others and my family. They have been tested on the bench and in the surf. Their effectiveness and reliability have been proven.

Shark rigs are made using AFW single-strand wire and Lindgren-Pitman heavy mono.

Surf Rigs are made using Triple Fish clear and camo monofilament and AFW 49 strand cable

Hooks by Gamakatsu and Mustad

Swivels by Rosco, Krok and Billfisher
